Once a proud wizard of the Aurelian Spire, Witherglass was a gnome of reckless brilliance whose studies in “applied improbability” shattered the wards that bound an ancient storm within the college’s towers. Cast out for his experiments, he met the Threshing Flail, a pit-fighter burdened with blood and guilt. Together they roam the Outer Frontier in search of the fragments of the Shattered Tempest, with only the Threshing Flail’s memory of betrayal strong enough to anchor the shards while Witherglass attempts to rebind them.
